Megan Ellyia Green has represented the 15th ward for the last 7 years. In that time she’s been a fighter at City Hall and a partner in the grassroots efforts to Close the Workhouse, St. Louis’ Medium Security Jail, raise the minimum wage, and stop the privatization of public assets. Additionally, Megan sits on the Board of Directors of Local Progress and is an active member with DSA. Committed to achieving systems level changes to eradicate disparities in our educational system, Megan recently completed her PhD in Education Policy. Megan looks forward to continuing to help grow the progressive movement in St. Louis and creating a public safety system that is restorative, addresses root causes of crime, and is not reliant on mass incarceration.
